Hi there I have two Samsung hard drives. a 1TB for my music and a 2 TB for my music. Last week both have partially failed. Each one is recognised by my laptop which displays and plays back the contents of each. However when i try to store new music or movies from my laptop hard drive it refuses to do so. When I try to send files from the hard drive to the Samsung there is no recognition for the designated disk drive (F) to enable this. On other laptops they work perfectly. It seems logical that the Samsungs are working perfectly and therefore the problem is with my laptop. Device Manager recognises both Samsungs and confirms both are working properly USBs also work perfectly.. Im at a loss, anybody got any ideas. Thanks in advance. John

Hi there JayKew1878,

It may be a good idea to start with testing all three drives with some HDD testing tool that will provide a S.M.A.R.T. report. In case there is something wrong with any of the drives, just back up the data stored on it.

Apart from that, it may be a good idea to reinstall your USB drivers as digtaldoc already suggested.
Another thing you can try is to go to Device Manager -> Uninstall the external drives -> plug them out -> reboot system -> plug them back in and wait to install.

Try transferring files when only one of the drives is connected.
