my cpu overheats and overclocks by its self

i got a new computer and it over heats and overclocks even without doing anthing, usually around 80 degrees and its 3.4ghz but overclocks its self to 3.9....this is even while idling heeeelpp....also really bad frame while playing games

Solution
Get Overdrive.
Launch it.
Turn off Turbo Core. (Overdrive>Performance Control>Clock/Voltage>Turbo Core Control> uncheck Enable Turbo Core)

Then try playing.

If it keeps happening, reset your bios.

No problem. By the way, if none of these work, you may need a new CPU cooler.
