Hello, i currently have a seagate barracuda 1TB hard drive, and want to upgrade to an SSD, thing is, i only have SATA2 on my GA-78LMT-USB3 (REV.5). What is the best ssd that will "max out" Sata2 without spending money on performance that cant be used? thank you

I am looking for a 120GB+ SSD

In my expereince i think its more about yr ram bandwidth than sata 2 or 3, for example DDR 2 ram will have a minor bottleneck to SSD compared to DDR 3 ram.....

In my expereince SSD can be bottlenecks by 2 major things - CPU and Ram and CPU being the more common bottleneck

the difference between Sata 2 and 3 comes in in very heavy I/O operations like servers.

in real world normal home usage there is no difference between the 2 unless u fire up some heavy processing programs which involve heavy I/O . A Sata 3 SSD on Sata 2 is still way better than a HDD on Sata 3
