Strange beeps on boot (new build)

I finally got all the pieces for a new build today and tried to put it all together. The new components I bought are:

(1) ASRock x99 Extreme4
(2) i7 5820k
(3) MSI GTX 970 100 ME
(4) 2x4gb DDR4 Ballistix

I had a 650W PSU and an older HDD that I planned on using.

When I put it all together, CPU/GPU/RAM all seated and ready to go, I got 5 short beeps on POST -- indicating a CPU failure. I pulled out the video card and decided to see what happened then. I got 10 short beeps.

At this point, I'm not sure where to go from here. Is it truly a CPU failure? I'm not quite sure what else to try.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Double check EVERYTHING as listed at the following link. Make sure the 4/8 pin CPU power and 24 pin ATX power connections to the motherboard are fully seated. More often than not people forget to plug the 4 pin or 8 pin (Depending on the platform) CPU power connection to the motherboard or have a stick of RAM that's not entirely seated.

I went through the list, checked/double-checked. Now, it's just consistently giving me 5 short beeps with/without the GPU in. I went ahead and pulled out the CPU and tried to look at the socket as well -- nothing seemed out of place. I just can't figure out what's up.

Any other suggestiosn?
