I'm looking at this motherboard, and I was wondering if two PCI slots will be enough. What are PCI slots used for, and how do I tell how many PCI slots I need?
most of what you will probably buy these days will be pci-e. so unless you have some old parts there that you really want to use, then you don't have to worry imo
That's like asking how many seats should your car has. Some people like to take the whole gang to everywhere, some people like, me and my woman and the rest of you the bus!
Too many variables: Does your Mobo have sufficient built-in capabilities? do you need any of the other stuff? your box is used for... and don't say everything. Do you have or mind a full-size ATX? For a gamer, at least 1.
So what if I want to manage at least one high-end graphics card, an SSID, an HDD, and other external drives, along with USB 3.0s (although they're 3.0 is built in to the newer ones), and Eye tracking devices and possibly other gadgets? Would I need more PCI or just more USB 3.0?
