How do I know if my water cooler is working properly?

I am using:
AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI A88XM-E45 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Sandisk X110 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive
Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card
Corsair CSM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply.

My average CPU temperature is 53 degrees celsius.
i want to know if that is normal for a pc with my specs.
