Motherboard Suggestions i7

I am interested in suggestions for my moba I have not gone to the intel side in awhile so the pros and cons of different boards are not as apparent to me. I am interested between $100-$150. If I need more money seeing as they are better options for slightly more please post that as well. I presently have 4 hardrives and a gtx 970.

this is going to be my first i7 I want to make sure that I am not cheaping myself on a moba because I know the importance of having a good one. I don't know I guess I thought the thread would be flooded with intel people cheering going get this or get this. There are so many different brands. I am also thinking of something SLI ready for when I get another 970. I just wanted to hear opinions to confirm my thoughts or at least. With a very capable board I want something to last and make this i7 proud. I'm even thinking up to $150 on a board.

The Asus Z97-A is a great mobo, I've done 9 client builds on them so far and all have been thrilled with the rigs

My suggestion is to wait until Intel releases its newer Broadwell and Skylake CPUs.

If you cannot wait till fall, an i7 in conjunction with the above motherboard suggestion will be a very capable system for the next couple of years at least.

Do you think the price of the i7 will drop or it a new technology for similar prices. Or is it that they are going for similar pricing. Suggestions on a CPU cooler presently I use a Evo 210 it's great no complaints just wondering on thoughts.

Given the experience from the last years, Intel will retain the same prices; there will be no big improvements in CPU performance, maybe a boost for the integrated GPU.

EVO 212 (?) is a good cooler, don't worry.
