Wrong System Connector?

I'm working on replacing the motherboard in my Dell Inspiron with an ASROCK motherboard, and the Dell's LEDH1 system panel cable has 12 pins, where the system panel port in the motherboard only has 10.

Pre-built vendors (HP,DELL,Lenovo etc) don't use standard Mobos, you cannot expect the header and cables to match, but this shouldn't stop experience builders, a LED no matter where it came from is still powered by a - and + pins, a power button is still two pins. Do you have the expertise to break down what each pins is connected to and do matching? Own a multimeter? If not either call cousin Geeky or use a standard enclosure.
