Hi,
I tried to install win 7 and accidentally chose to install without selecting a disk partition.
It did not install correctly and when restarted no OS was there...
Now when I try to install win7 again it gives the error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk." and it says computer hardware may not support booting to this disk and check BIOS.

When I tried to install windows xp it gives errors about missing .sys files like pcmcia.

I tried plugging the hard drive to another computer, and in disk management I couldn't initialize the disk as the error
"data error (cyclic redundancy check)"

Please Help.....

Welcome, hasanth!

Unfortunately, I think @Aefuan is totally right. Seems like your HDD has failed. You can still determine this by testing it using your HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool. It will give you a detailed report of the health and SMART status of the drive. You should be able to find the tool on their website. In case you can't, here are some third-party suggestions from the community: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
I'd also suggest you to check the warranty of the hard drive, and if it's still covered you should RMA it and get a replacement.

Good luck!
