confusion over pc or ps4

i m very much confused over the PC or ps4 i had read some of forums , in which some say that go with PS4 while some say that go with PC. i live in INDIA and here PS4 is very much expensive i.e $630 , i m confused because i m buying a new system either PS4 or PC but confused what to BUY and at the same PRICE tag of PS4

All you need to remember is that if you buy a games console (eg a PS4) you will only be able to play games with it.

But if you buy a PC (with the right specs) you will be able to play games plus a whole lot of other stuff, photo-editing, word processing, burning data to a CD/DVD etc.

So think about whether you want to be able to do any of that stuff.

It must also be said that playing games on a console is much easier to do, whereas on a PC you sometimes have to make adjustments and might need some technical hardware knowledge to get some games to run properly.

This very much depends on what you play. For instance JRPG's for the most part are a Console (Playstation) exclusive and will mostly never see the light of day on the PC. On the other hand games like RTS's are mostly PC exclusive. FPS's usually show up on both and the PC can get better FPS along with mods etc. The PC also has a larger amount of Indie games available along with free games. So honestly as I said it depends on what you want to play.

i want a pc build which will last atleast 5-6 years beating ps4 under 45000 rupees

There are many award winning exclusives on/coming to PS4 which will never see the light of day on PC (The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Destiny etc). I suppose PC games can look a little better (not always), and although you can play many more games they all generally cost $$ and also you have to deal with hardware failures. The PS4 is quite powerful and it has not reached its limit yet. Although, I suppose if you wanted you could build a $600 PC that theoretically beats it. No $400 PC, no matter what they say, beats a PS4. If anything they compare poor ports or games that aren't even on PS4 - so unfair comparison.

I would never buy these current gen consoles. first thing that they are cut-down pcs. not to mention that amd designed them on the cheapest possible way so i guess nothing else to say...

lol i've just read. the ps4 is powerful and it has not reached its limits???? devs struggle even with coding games to run on the ps4 on 30 fps. half of the witcher 3 tech support forum is full with whining about ps4 running witcher 3 with frequent drops to 20 fps or lower :D

The consoles are not cut down PCs. The PS4 uses expensive and exotic architecture (GDDR5 as system RAM, asynchronous compute). The Witcher 3 runs 30fps on my PS4 without drops. However, I probably haven't gone too far. You clearly have no idea. The Witcher 3 is a massive game and there is no way it could be 100% tested.

lol. the ps4 doesn't even have " system ram" it has unified memory. and the gpu in it is on the lvel of a 7870.

If that's exotic and expensive for you.... okay i don't want to be an asshole but that sounds ironic for me

2.5GB RAM is dedicated for the OS buddy. Consoles are much more efficient than PCs. The theoretical performance of the PS4 is far greater than a HD 7870. By the way, 7870 isn't something to laugh about. My PC maxes pretty much every game at 1080p.

Do you already have these parts: monitor, audi system, keyboard,mouse , OS ?

How much money you have for the build? that 630 usa $ is a hard limit for the build?

If it's not a hard limit and you can go up to around 800-900$ and you already have the mentioned parts then a PC will provide much better experience than a PS4.
If you don't have those parts and the 630 is a hard limit, then buy the PS4.

intel i5 4440 4th gen
MOBO- which is suitable for intel i5
GPU-GTX960
case=mid tower similar to cooler master
PSU=600w
monitor-19 inch samsung 19d300hy
ram=8 gb 1600 mhz
hdd=1tb
window 8.1 inclusive no dvd writer cause i have one ..??

it will beat a ps4 by far. it is a very good build you made, with good quality components.
for an example: gtx 960 will achieve around 50 fps medium settings on witcher 3 1080p, while the ps4 suffers to keep 30 fps on medium settings and it drops even as low as 19 fps. so there is a big difference.

Also if i can recommend the gtx 970. it's the absolute best choice in price/performance ratio. it's a LOT more powerful and only like 100$ more in price.

gtx 970 will get you to a mix of high-ultra settings( which is superior to PS4 graphical settings) with 60 fps stable on all modern games which is double the fps of what the ps4 can achieve. To be honest the 4440 could be a limiting factor for the 970, but then there is the i5 4690K which is only like 50$ more than the 4440 and can OC aswell( so itll have a longer lifetime), but will provide a lot better circumstances to the gtx 970. the asus z97-k is a cheap motherboard and fits the 4690K and can OC well.

conclusion:
So if i you want to spend your money the best possible way making the best possible deal go for the z97-k, 4690K, gtx 970 which will be around 150$ more than your original build- idea and will play games on ultra-high mix 60 fps.

If you can't do it, the original build is still a lot superior to the PS4 so go for it. it will play games on medium-high mix 40-50 fps.

i think i m sticking with my build cause i ve maxed out my spending limit . so for sure in future i m gonna upgrade processor and gpu so thank you ....!!!
but Icaraeus will drop a bomb in this thread , defending PS4 after which i will again have to think again.
so waiting for your reply Icaraeus ...!!!!

true, it lowed down to 20 fps ...!!!
can you suggest me a build better than this ??? ....!!!!! under 50000 rupees or $830 ...???

And ever since the shift of the playstation to the X86 architecture we might even start seeing emulators pop up, but Sony might probably start hunting their arses and sue the emulator devs down to the center of the Earth if that DOES happen..

The build you posted above should beat the playstation by a decent margin, Go for it.

Intel is far better than AMD. Again, you cannot directly compare PS4 to PC but whatever. Do what you want. I'm done. Enjoy The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Final Fantasy XV, Until Dawn, Deep Down, inFamous, Killzone, Little Big Planet and all of those other games on PC. Oh wait....
