Specs:
Motherboard -- ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0
CPU -- AMD FX-6300 / FX-6350
CPU Cooler -- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU -- MSI GTX 760
RAM -- Corsair Vengeance 8GB
PSU -- Corsair CX600

I got this board in March of this year, and it had worked fine until now. Around a week ago, the PC kept failing to post and the CPU error LED on the board lit up (solid, no blinking), I got no beeps and nothing on the display. I took this as the FX-6300 (CPU in the system at the time) having failed and replaced it.

I got an FX-6350 to replace it, again the same issue - red CPU error LED is constant, no post, no beeps, nothing on display. I presumed this FX-6350 was DOA. So, I got it replaced with another FX-6350. Yet again - red CPU error LED, no post, no beeps, nothing at all. Surely the chance of getting two CPUs both dead on arrival, in a row, is so damn low that it can't be the FX-6350s at fault? Does this then mean that neither the FX-6300 nor the first FX-6350 actually failed?

Things I've already done:
-Checked power connectors (24-pin, 8-pin) over and over
-Single RAM stick in every slot (with and without graphics card for each slot)
-Graphics card in other PCIe slot
-Physically checked CPU - no bent pins, no thermal compound on PCB or pins and reseated it
-Used onboard 'Clear RTC RAM' jumper
-Removed and reseated CMOS battery after around 10 seconds

I'm pretty sure this is everything I did, so I apologise if there is something I say I did later but didn't list here. For clarity, it was out of the case, on the motherboard box while doing all of this so a short is extremely unlikely.

This is everything that comes to mind and everything that, to my knowledge, I can do to diagnose this problem.

I don't have another compatible system to check any components in, so I hope that this is enough to determine whether it's the motherboard or not.

Thanks in advance, any feedback is appreciated :)

Yes, there is. I ensured that this was connected properly before continuing. In every situation, there were no beeps.

Tried this and sure enough, the fan spun as normal, the error LED stayed on and even after a couple of minutes - no beeps.
I'll look into RMA-ing the board as soon as possible.

Thanks for the quick response.
