I was going to make a Build Guide on this PC and help new people like me get into PC gaming. I am pretty sure 1080p gaming on this PC would be fine, but maybe not 4K. If you can better this PC, plz reply and show me!!!!

I also agree with what the pcbuilderprobs said, i guarantee you will never use the features that make that board cost so much. A asus z97a would be just as good or my personal favorite the msi z97 gaming 5 would also be good. And of course it will do 1080p the gtx 980 is more suited to 1440p. And im not sure about that evga power supply i would reccomnd a g2 model like this below.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017

A bit cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438028

You dont need 750watts but the b2 and g2 dont go lower than 750watts. And i think its a good deal for the price and will leave you lots of head room.

this is a great build, however if you're trying to save money you don't necessarily need to get such a high-costing motherboard like the ASUS Maximus Hero VII. Besides that, it looks damn solid, that'll play 1080p great.

Win 7 Ultimate is completely not needed.
And "I know a guy" reeks of 'not legit'. But whatever...

Why specify a WiFi adapter for a desktop PC? Most people with a desktop use and want a wired connected. Faster and more stable.

I don't think I will be changing the PSU. I will take it into alot of consideration because, this would have been pointless otherwise. Thank you for you comment, and I really like the motherboard you chose :)

I say save some money and grab a 970, the extra performance you get from the 980 isn't justified by it's price and since your running 1080p 60Hz it's probably wasted. You can either stash that money or put it back into the computer, maybe an i7 or larger SSD.

Would the 970 be capable of running games on 1080p ultra for a while? What I guess i'm saying is, is is "future-proof"? god the pc community hate that, but it needs to last me a while. Would I need to SLI a 970 perhaps in the near future.

Every game is different so I would suggest looking at benchmarks for games you plan on playing. On top of that not every game is optimized as well as it could be. Since the witcher 3 is the latest benchmarking game out there you will notice that it just barely misses the 60fps mark but IMO the performance in that game is a little ridiculous. I have seen better looking games with better frames per second so it comes down to the game engine and optimization.
