Should i run a 2-way GTX780 SLI Config, or should i just get a single GTX 980 or maybe even a 980Ti?

So to further explain, I thought about going with the GeForce GTX 980. But then I got curious as to what cards could i run in SLI to get better frames and overall performance. I read one article about running a GTX 780 in SLI but that would cost more. I know, I'm not worried about spend roughly $600 on the 780's over the roughly $550 980. But would it be better to go with a 980Ti over the 2-way SLI, and totally forget the 980? Or stick with the 2-way Config?

GTX 980 TI is the most reasonable GPU, it's priced extremely well, and the gtx 980 is over priced.

As someone with a 780 and gaming at 1080p I have already hit the 3gb vram which causes stuttering when maxing games. For me I'm going to go 980Ti with its 6gb vram but not for a month or two.

Thanks, I also agree that the price of the GTX 980Ti is awesome, I didn't wanna shell out so much cash and not have good performance.
