I've bought a stock PC a while ago and upgraded it with a new case, power supply and graphics card.

The new gpu works fine while running windows and I can do almost everything... besides going to the BIOS. Whenever I go to my bios, my screen just stays black, not detecting anyhing. Even the on-board gpu won't work. I can't update to windows 8.1 because of this.
I've tried upgrading before, I could hear the sound of 8.1 starting up but the screen would stay black. Whenever I instert the stock GPU everything is fine.

Anyway, with my new gpu insterted, there's a "ghost" display showing:

This display is NOT there with the stock gpu insterted. I've tried many ways of removing this in device manager and I've uninstalled/installed all the old gpu's drivers.

I'm (almost) certain that this is the problem causing my bios/updating windows not showing anything with my new gpu. I'm thinking whenever it boots into the bios ect, it might use the stock/older gpu.

New GPU: XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870 Black Edition
Old/stock GPU: Nvidia GT 620

Is there anything else I can do?
