Hello I have a seagate 2TB external hard drive that I used as a backup drive " Time machine " when I was using my Mac laptop. Now that I have completely moved to Windows, I was confused on how to use the external hard drive to back up windows without losing my existing old Mac backups by formatting it to NTFS. It is the only hard drive that I have so I am wondering if someone could guide me on how to partition it without losing the data. Or any other methods.

So basically I have HFS+ HHD and I want to partition the free space part of it to NTFS without losing any data. Also I want to do it on windows.

A backup is a second (or more) copy of your important files. Since it sounds like you no longer have the Mac that would make the external drive your primary copy. IMO your first task would be to get that external drive backed up. Once you have at least two copies of your important files you can begin messing with the the drive and not risk losing everything!
