Hey, when i play Guild wars 2, it brings my cpu usage up to 100%. The game is using like ~70% of cpu, is this normal for this game? I have a good cpu, it's a i5 4690k and i have a gtx 970. I havn't overclocked at all either. Please let me know if i need to fix something, it seems like the game is using too much power.. lol, thanks.

Are all 4 cores using 100%, or just 1? I don't understand how what is used on 1 core or 4 cores.

You cannot compare frame rates in one game to another. Thats kind of like trying to compare a cheap Ford car with a Lombardini. They are both cars, but one can can do well over a hundred MPH/KPH and the other cannot.

Every game is different. Go find a benchmark showing where a system with your CPU and video card was tested running GW2. Then you might have a good idea of what your card can do. But be aware that if you do not have the EXACT SAME SETTINGS in that game that they have, you are unlikely to be able to match their numbers.

Even the CPU speed, amount of memory installed, and other things can affect how your video card performs.
The game designers choose which parts of your computer are to do what tasks in the game. Some games only have the CPU working 5% or so, and the next game might load up the CPU with 95% load at times. Most are obviously somewhere in between. Just from what you have showed us, I cannot tell if it is one core or all 4 cores. There is no normal this or normal that when it comes to software. And there is next to nothing you can do to change what the programmers have told the game to do.

Welp, i was just wondering if anyone else has 100% cpu usage just like me or not.

Is it hard on the computer to run gw2 if it is going to be making my PC use 100% of cpu? Should i stop worrying about it? haha
