Hi all,

I'm currently working with a reference r9 290x. The noise of the fans at load is getting a little loud for the environment that I have my workstation in. Any recommendations would be awesome. I'm looking to spend less than 100 bucks, but I have a little wiggle room.

Best Regards,

Josh

Corsair HG10 £30, Corsair H60 £40, if you are running a reference card thats all you need, if you are running aftermarket card check agains Corsair to see compatibility, I had 290 Tri-X so I had to get a seperate Blower Fan for an extra £10, but by using HG10 and H55 not H60, which is as cheap as H55 but much, much better GPU was OC to 1170mhz GPU core and memory to 1525mhz, whilst running games my temps stayed at 60's°, without OC 48°, do note H60 is much better cooler so temps would be lower.

Another advantage is that the card looks absolutely amazing, don't get Kraken G10 because it does not cool the VRM and VRAM as good as Corair. If you don't want a watercooled solution, Arctic has good coolers all tho I never had it so you'd...
