Hello I currently have a system using a i3-2100 with 8gbs of ram and evga acx 2.0 SC gtx 970
I know that my CPU is the major bottleneck of my system and I intend to upgrade it ASAP but I was wondering if I would be able to play witcher 3 at 30fps at least and a rough idea of what settings. I know that on the minimum specs it says it requires an i5 of my generation however I have seen youtube videos of playable frame rates on lower spec gpus and I was wondering what my experience would be like?

Minimum System Requirements
Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz. <-- 4 core CPU
AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940.
Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660.
AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870.
RAM 6GB.
OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) <--- Are you running a 64 bit version of Windows 7 or later?
DirectX 11.
HDD Space 40 GB.

You might be able to get away with that CPU since it has hyperthreading, but I suspect the game would run pretty slowly because it is only dual core.

Ok thanks assuming that two generations of cpus doesn't decrease my fps by more than 20 I should be fine, fingers crossed for the steam sales to get witcher more than before now
