Hello Tom's Hardware people,

I currently have a new PC, and I ended up with 300$ extra.

Here are my important specs :
- i5 4670K
- R9 280
- Asus Z87-A Mobo
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- 650W XFX PSU

I currently have a crappy old (1080p) monitor and I want to upgrade, i upgraded to a mech keyboard, gaming mouse and high fi headset and I want to upgrade my rig.
I was thinking of getting a better monitor.
I was looking into the korean monitors because 1440p made me curious and they were right at my price point. I need some insight on what monitor or whatever I should get to upgrade.
BTW the monitor I was looking at is the 1440p Qnix Matte Evolution II, I believe.

Thank you for reading this.

well I expect to play most AAA titles at 1080p but easy to handle games such as CSGO could run 1440p. And all my video watching/browsing could be at 1440p. Do you have any past experience with the monitor. How hard is it to return it?
To me take 200$ off the price because I traded my clash of clans account for an ipod classic I sold to my dad for 200$ so when the price keeps rising ill sell it.
So basically 100$ for a 1440p monitor aint bad, just I dont want any headacke for returning and such since it's from korea

My monitor right now is 21 inches so I'm used to it, I don't know if they are worth it the ultrawide panels. Would I be able to play GTA5 and such all on the screen or will there be black bars? Thx for your insight

I read that game aren't optimized for widescreen so I am right now thinking going the 144Hz 1080p way,
