Hi,

I'm planning to buy next week a GPU (cause I'm travelling to USA), and I'll like to know which specific brand should I buy considering I want to OC on air, and I cannot do SLI cause of my mobo (I may do an upgrade soon).

My setup:

i7-3770K
P8Z77-V LX2
PSU 1000W 80 Silver
1080p display (upgrading to 1080p 144hz next month)

Budget up to 700$.

I use my pc for CAD software, but I also use it for gaming. As I'm buying a 144hz monitor, I would like to run games like The Witcher 3 on max settings at +100FPS to enjoy the potential of monitor.

G1 is a very long card, so make sure you have the room for it.

Beyond that, MSI Twin Frozr, ACX2.0, and many other are all fine choices. If you aren't pushing for a maximum overclock on the cards then the difference are minor. Probably stick with the EVGA superclock in that situation.

Matrix is overpriced, but a very nice card nonetheless.

With a budget of $700 a GTX 980 Ti is within reach. Though availability of cards is somewhat limited since release was Monday.

Yeah, I think I won't be able to buy it at time, cause I'm returning the 11th.

The Gigabyte G1 gaming over clocks well and has a good cooler. Unfortunately the Witcher 3 isn't gong to run at max settings at +100fps. You should be able to hit 60-70 with hairworks off.

What about others like Asus Matrix, Superclocked ACX 2.0, and so?? Do you recommend them? are they worth it? Or it's better to stick with the Gigabyte G1?
