Choosing a quiet PSU and a few other doubts

Hi all! I am building a configuration after a long while, and have a few things I'm not quite sure about (PSU turns out to be the hardest choice it seems), so I'm hoping the community here can help me out. I read a lot of reviews and related posts first, and got a lot of useful info, but a few things are still not clear enough to make a final decision.

here's the conf build:
CPU: i-5 4690k (plan to OC to 4GHz, maybe add a cooler to it also)
MoBo: Asrock z97 pro4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 1600Mhz
HD: WD 3TB Green (probably will add a 2nd one later)
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 750Ti
I also plan to add an SSD, but haven't picked one yet, and a DVD+/-RW unit.
I'll be using it for gaming and work, which includes a lot of data analysis, but no video editing and the like.

So, my questions (the first one being the absolute priority):
1) How much Wattage I need (calculators say 300-350W, but most forum posts indicate 650W), and which PSU should I choose to get a minimum of noise of heat (and not spend too much money at the same time)?
My top choices are (by descending price): XFX TS3X or Core Ed. NLB9, Antec VPF, and LC Silent Giant GP2... for instance, TS3X is double the price from the LS one, but if it's really a lot quieter I'll gladly pay the extra... but atm I'm not sure if it's worth it...

2) Should I get the z97 extreme4 MoBo instead (for a 30% price increase from pro4) or is it not worth it?

3) Which housing to choose? Like with the PSU, I'm primarily looking for a minimum of noise and heat, but would also like to keep the price in a moderate range. Only option I looked into so far is LC POWER Pro-917B Titus X - any comments on that one are welcome...

Any other suggestions are welcome if you think I can improve the overall config without spending too much extra cash... thx

1) You've only got a 750Ti, so a 350W would be fine. However, the cost difference between that and a 550W (what you'd want to run almost any single GPU) is usually pretty small. I can't really comment on noise, though. But most PSUs will run fanless under low load, and noise is one of the few times when overspeccing a PSU is actually useful.

2) If you want to use two GPUs in SLI/Crossfire, yes. If not, the Pro4 should be fine, I think.

3) Can't really comment.

If you want to game, I'd suggest looking at a more powerful GPU. You'll also want an aftermarket cooler far more than anything related to the PSU or case - stock ones can scream if it starts to get hot.

thx for the quick useful reply, still hoping for a bit more detailed feedback on the PSU options though (which model to choose exactly, that's where the real price difference lies)...

It's quite possible I'll go for a stronger GPU, but I'm sure I'll take just one, so I guess that means 550W is enough - as I understand it, going a bit overboard helps to keep the PSU at lower % which translates to less heat and noise, so maybe 650 would be best after all?
And by cooler, you mean CPU or GPU cooler, or something else?
