So, on my build I plan to do lots of gaming, recording and rendering. However I would like to find a balance between good at games, but good at rendering. SO I planned out this build:
Phantom 530 Case
EVGA Supernova B2 Bronze 750W PSU
RoG Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard
16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengance Pro Ram (2x8GB)
i7 - 4790k CPU
H110i GTX Liquid Cooler
Samsung EVO 250gb SSD
GTX 970 MSI GPU
(My current HDD'S - 1tb and a 250gb)
However I then realized I could go for a X99 System for an extra £40
Same: Case/PSU/SSD/Cooler/GPU
i7-5820k CPU
16GB DDR4 G.SKILL RipJaws 4 (4x4GB)
MSI X99S SLI Plus Motherboard
I realize the second system is better at rendering, and the first at gaming, so which one do I build? I would like a balance between gaming and rendering, if possible. I'm also concerned by the downgrade from a RoG Motherboard as not sure if the MSI X99S is any good. (If you see anything wrong with any of the builds please say) Thanks
