HUGE Fps drops when recording Minecraft with DxTory

So when recording Minecraft on high quality at 60 fps capture, I can barely reach 120 fps in game (I normally get 900-110 FPS when not recording on high settings). I have a 144hz monitor, so I want to be able to use it. I also have my settings turned way down. I can record using shadowplay which causes no lag at all, but DxTory makes separate audio tracks for game audio and mic audio, while shadow play makes it one audio track. I would prefer to use DxTory, so if you could give me some tips on what I can do to get better fps, that would be great. Thanks

I reckon DXtory is capping your framerate in order to get a stable looking video. If you normally get 900fps and it is coming down to record 60fps, it is capping your framerate to make the video stable and good looking. Shadowplay doesn't do this, and that is why they make a difference.

I'm not too sure about Dxtory, but if it has an option to disable framerate limiting, check that. Otherwise, find something else to record with, or cop the framerate dips.

P.S. If minecraft is on one drive, dxtory is on another and you are saving your recordings to another, this will cause issues with buffering. Try keeping everything on the same hdd.

I have them both on my SSD. I record to my HDD though.
