Model: logitech b100 OS: Windows 7.

Had it for 4-5 months. Happened on and off for the past few months but now it's frequent to the point where the mouse is practically useless. I thought it might be an issue with the cord disconnecting when I moved the mouse fast, but I've tested it on a macbook and it works flawlessly.

A few things I noticed:
1. The mouse will disconnect (more) if I move the mouse around.
2. Stationary cursor won't cause a disconnect.

Things I've tried:
1. Uninstalled the USB/mouse drivers and power cycled computer
2. Unchecked power saving settings for USB root hubs
3. Tested on Macbook (works fine on it)
4.Checked for driver updates but model has no drivers.

I dont have a second mouse to see if it's the computer that's the issue unfortunately.

Not sure if it'll help but I've uploaded a recording of it happening: https://youtu.be/Hq-u8XzU5KA

Solution
Frustrating issue. You definitely need a spare mouse to troubleshoot the issue, and see if it improves things.

I use my Logitech mice without the software driver installed. I would also try it in a different USB port in case that is the issue.

Thanks for the condolences :)

So good news! I've figured out the issue. My initial suspicions of the faulty cord seems correct; pushing the cord at the mouse end to the right would instantly dc my mouse while pushing it to the left wouldn't have any problems and reconnect the mouse (explains why fast movements would dc temporarily).

Same results of dc'ing on the macbook once i pressed the cord right.

Thankfully I've ordered a replacement already. The torture is over!
