Have I picked a good PC set up?

I have just been building a computer and I've picked the main final parts, the rest isn't as important. However I am a little worried that everything wont be compatible. Also I may have picked some really expensive parts that are not needed, mainly referring to the MB since I'm not using nearly all of it's ports. If someone could give it a quick glance to check everything in order and write any improvements if they had any that would be great.

This is my first PC build and I am quiet inexperienced in PC's but I wanted to set up a decent gaming PC for the next few years. I'd really appreciate any help, Thanks in advance.

Here is the PC parts picker link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hg4Txr

Thanks again :)

You don't need a Z series board if you're not using an overclocking CPU. Plus, a CPU cooler won't be needed for your CPU. Here is an improved version of your build -

Much faster GPU, much higher quality case and power supply and a very good motherboard for your system.

Tips - Don't rush. Take your time and relax. Rushing through the process can and lead to problems. I learned that the hard way the first time I built my first system.

For reference, I recommend this video by Linus Sebastian. He is an excellent PC expert and knows his stuff about pretty much everything there is to know about PCs.
