First I would like to thank you for taking time in reading my thread! 
I am wanting to upgrade from renting a modem/router combo from Time Warner Cable.
I'd like to find a modem device and router device that work well together.
Uses: Console gaming(Wii U, PlayStation 4), Streaming Netflix( PlayStation 4, Smart TV), Iphone and Samsung cell phones always connected when home, Gaming computer(Wired into router), Surface Pro 3.
Location of modem and router will be in the basement of a 2 story house. Looking for best available Wifi to reach 2nd floor.
Below are my choices so far. Leaning towards the Modem(Middle) and Router(Expensive)
What are your suggestions and advise? Different Brands? More than I need?
