BIOS fan control after fan upgrade

Hello, and thank you for reading and hopefully lending a hand.

I am upgrading a HP Pavilion a6745f desktop PC with MS-7548 Aspen motherboard. I switched out the AMD Athlon Dual Core 5050e CPU with a AMD Phenom Quad-Core (Agena) 9950. Using the stock heatsink/fan I was getting temps in the high 50's low 60's, which I wasn't very happy about. I use CPUID and CoreTemp to monitor temps.

After upgrading my CPU heatsink/fan to a Noctua NH-L9a and the case fan to a Noctua NF-B9 I immediately saw a decrease in temps but was still riding in the mid-50's.

My BIOS requires a special command to enter into hidden advanced controls for temp & fan speed (Ctrl-F10 as oppose to simply F10). This gives me a 'hardware monitor' section where I can enable/disable fan checks and control temp curves, among other things. Here is a screenshot:

I changed Temp1 from 53 to 40, Temp2 from 65 to 55 and Temp3 from 69 to 60. After this, I saw my CPU fan speed increase from ~1250 to 1450 and my case fan speed increase from ~685 to 865rpm. My temps lowered further to the mid-40's.

My question is, can I do anything else to further my lowering of temps? I am unsure what the settings for CPU & Sys Fan Speeds 1, 2, 3 are for. Especially the setting of 'FF' for speeds 3. I also what to be sure that changing my Temp curves was a good thing - I know the temp lowered, but I've never done this before.

My BIOS is Phoenix Award Workstationbios and is up to date.

Thank you again for any help that can be offered in unlocking the mystery these settings.

Thank you, Sapphire, for the reply. The cooler was the best that would fit in my case. I had to go low-profile due to the small stock case I have.

You're right, my temps are good, I was mainly curious about the BIOS settings mentioned above and if I could tweak them even further and also confirm the changes I made were okay. But maybe you're right, temps are good, so I should leave well enough alone.
