Hello Community,
EVO R2.0
I purchased today a Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 mobo.

Current Configuration:

Processor: AMD FX X8 8350, 4000MHz, 16MB, socket AM3+

Video: Asus AMD Radeon R9 290 OC DirectCU II, 4096MB, GDDR5, 512bit, HDMI, 2x DVI, Display Port, CoolTech Fan, BIOS Switcher

Power :Sirtec EP-750S, 750W, ATX 2.3, PFC active

MotherBoard: Asus M5A97 EVO R 2.0

RAM: HyperX Fury 4GB 1600 x4
Other Components: Seagate 240 GB SSD+ 1TB 7200 rpm Seagate HDD
Windows 8.1 X64

ISSUE:
Since the upgrade today My PC turns on...however I get no connection on HDMI or DVI .Video Card Led are on as normal.
Obviously I can't see bios...I don't even know if I get to that point. So I don't know the version.

On the Mobo I see A constant Red LED in the center and one Green in the lower part.

To be honest I don't know what the issue is since from what I researched the components should be compatible...

Any ideas on how to fix this ?

Kindest regards,

Victor

Sorry for wasting your time guys... and thank you for all your help...

because I was used to the older versions of motherboards I was not aware that of the EATX . So I didn't plug in the EATX cable from the PSU in the motherboard... instead I plugged in the power cable for the HDDs and optical units...

That was my only issue... realized today when I came back from work.

Again thank you very much for all your help!

Hey Thanks,
I tried this a day back with an Asrock 990FX Extreme3 mobo and had the same result. I guess it could be the CPU since I already tried with 2 different Mobos....
I'll try in a minute to see if it beeps.

What are you using for a monitor? Some TVs (especially 720p ones) don't support UEFI's 1280x1024 resolution, especially over a digital interface like HDMI or DVI. Do you have a different monitor you can try?

Hi ,

I tried with only 1 piece of ram same thing. I don't think I have the latest bios since I can't see anything when starting the PC... I guess I have the default one, whichever that is.

In the mean time I found out the LED on the Mobo that is lit indicates a issue with the CPU . I'll return the CPU today and get a new one and see if that works.
