Mortal Kombat X does not start

I recently bought MKX from steam. I installed it, and when i try to run it, the logo appears, and freezes. In task manager MK10.exe is not responding. What can i do?

I had the pirated version (i am a filthy scrub), but i enjoyed the game and bought it, can there be interferences between those 2? I deleted the pirated one.

Any help is apreciatded!

Are you running it through Steam?

Yes, bought the game, redeemed the codes on steam.

You can "Verify the integrity of the game cache" through steam. I would recommend doing that.

If this does not work I would recommend uninstalling the game. Then removing any folders related to Mortal Kombat X from your steamapps folder and reinstalling.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common

Tried cache, did not work. I am now reinstalling at 50%, about 40 mins left. I have found some steps on the internet about some folders, configs etc. Will try that if reinstall still crashes.
Removed any MKX folder before starting reinstall
