This is the first time i'm building a pc and this is the only problem i have encounterd. I've sat for hours trying to find a sulution but i cant figure it out.

It's a compleatly new HDD disk (do i need to activate it in some way?). I've tried to uninstall the HDD drive and restart the pc, but it's still not showing.

i whould really like this problem to be solved as fast as possible so i can join the PC-Master-Race. Help is much apriciated!

Hi there Beginerspots,

So the HDD shows up in BIOS and Device Manager but not Disk Management?
In most of these cases, it is some driver issue that causes this. So, it may be a good idea to go to your MOBO's website and update your SATA drivers.
It will not hurt to try connecting the drive with different cables(SATA and power one) as well as to another SATA port.

Cheers,

First, you need to format the drive and then assign a drive letter to it. Start Windows -> Start Menu -> Disk Management -> Right click on the drive and assign it a letter.

Hopefully it would resolve the issue.
