Today during my English I, my teachers laptop turned off all of the sudden. The screen went black and the LED on the PB(Power Button) went off. Out of my freshman class I seem to be considered the most tech savvy so being completely unconfident in my ability to fix his laptop I went up to asses the scene. His laptop (Dell latitude E5540) seemed to have some form of power problem. We made sure that it was not just a battery crap out and that the charger was plugged into a faulty or off power cord. None of those.
We tried to turn it on multiple times and the LED on the PB came on for an instant then went back off without any sounds or the screen turning on. I took pictures of the model number to look up now but I can't seem to find any information on it. When the computer turned off, the only software running was google chrome. The laptop was plugged in.
Any ideas?
