OK So, I don't have more that $400 to spend on a high End GPU, I have a Corsair CX 600 80 Plus GOLD PSU. Which would be the best GPU for Gaming in my price point. I have a Ivy Bridge Intel i5 3770k overclocked at 4.35 GHz.

Hey Lemon Gamer,

I personally will buy returned cards and I find it as a great value. People often buy cards and sometimes have buyers remorse then return them. Places like amazon have to mark these down because they have been returned.

A good card for less than 400, get it around 320 used is the

970 GTX FTW

I have 2 of these and they are AWESOME. Nothing can stand in my way game wise. I'm also a fan of the Nvidia driver support.

Another good card GTX 970 G1

For 1080p, 970. For 1440p + , 290X. But I recommend buying an 970 so that you do not stress your PSU very much. 290X will work, but will take its toll on your PSU, and it is a shame since you can avoid it without losing anything.

I'd go with the 290X works great and you can pick up a used one for way less than a 970. Just get one from MSI, ASUS that uses serial number for warranty incase you need to RMA one. The 970/290x trade blows all day in performance so it really comes down to the $$$ and performance in a few specific games. R9 290x is even being re-released too as r9 300 series so even AMD is keeping it around for another go, no reason not to as it still competes and at a lower price.

Good luck and go with whatever feels right, cause they are pretty much evenly matched. The 290x needs lots more air flow though.
