Ok so not long ago I updated my PC setup because I got a larger case to accommodate an ATX MB ever since my PC has crashes by freezing up requiring a restart to work again.
The first crash doesn't happen for ages like I can have the PC running for a good 3-4 hours before it freezes but once I restart it after that crash it will freeze again within 5-10 minutes each time.

At first I thought it might be the CPU overheating so I cleaned the thermal compound on it and re-applied some new compound. That didn't solve it and my CPU isn't an OC compatible CPU so the usual "pull back on some oc" won't fix it.

This finally made me consider it might actually be the GPU causing the crash instead. So I am currently using an old (reeeeeally old) AMD GPU to see if it has further freezes after testing.

My setup is as follows:
PSU: Corsair CX750M
RAM: Crucial Tactical Ballistic 16GB (8GBx2)
MB: Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3
CPU: Intel i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad Core
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr R9 290X 8GB GDDR5
Case: Bitfenix Neos

If anyone has any clues as to a possible fix I'd greatly appreciate it.
