I'm sure this is a silly question but I can't find an answer. On some of the web pages to purchase a heat sink and fan, they list total height as being the same as the heatsink. Seems obvious to me that I should add the height of the cpu fan and heatsink to get a total. I ordered the Enermax ETS-T40-TB with a heatsink height of 160mm and a cpu fan that is 25mm high for a total of 185mm. My case says that it only allows for 175mm clearance. Do I need to swap it because the total height is 185mm, or did they take the cpu fan height into account when saying that the heatsink is 160mm high?

Thanks...I'm sure it's obvious to everyone, but I've never done this before. Thank you

Oh, motherboard is MSI X99A SLI and CPU is I7-5820K.

A dazzling display of pure logic Jim. :D
