Changing default drive in Windows 7

So i'm going to be installing a SSD with windows 7 on it, and a 1TB HDD, I want to make my HDD my drive where everything saves, like my programs (skype, vent, all that stuff), also my games i dont want on my SSD. I know when you install the stuff it gives you a drive path, would you alter that every time or can you change something in control panel. I saw something else where you can go to your registry and change where it saves but then it would only save to that specific spot

Create a folder in the D drive called "games" or whatever you want to call it , and when you run the installer it will ask where you want to install the game . The default will be C:\ programs ....
But instead direct it to install in your folder on the D drive

What about if you don't want anything saving to the SSD, instead to the HDD, how would i make it only save to HDD since im thinking that if you make the SSD have the OS, it will be your C:\ drive, and the HDD will be the E:\ drive or whatever it is called. how would i make it so i have the SSD have the OS and other programs i put on and the HDD the main drive where everything saves? i don't want to move each file Individually but have everything save to the so called E:\ the HDD.

I see what you're saying, but what i'm trying to do is say, i have the SSD as a C:\ and a HDD as a D:\. say i download Diablo 3, it would default to the C:\ (SSD) but i want it to default on the HDD in the program files(x86) folder, instead of the C:\ drive. How do I make it so everything will save to the D:\ drive without having to manually move files from one drive to the next?
