I have a new in box condition HP Pavilion Slimline s3020n that i would like to make usable.

Its god awful slow, and its like brand new, a coworker just gave it to me.
After investigation (pretty sure its simply am2), i am 99% sure this wont allow my MINIMUM need of a Phenom II X4 or above (even a phenom II X2/X3/b73 would at least be *acceptable)
and the ram is god awful slow too.

For upgrading the mobo my biggest and most obvious stumbling block will be the small size of the m-ITX which are as follows.
Micro-ATX: 19.0 cm (7.5 inches) x 17.0 cm (6.7 inches)
MOBO: HP-Asus M2NC51-AR (HematiteXL)

The chip is a whole seperate issue.
Unless someone can show me otherwise, like that i can get an am2+ ish quad chip in here, i need to find a new board for this and on the cheap.

Somehow, i need an AM3 or above (intel will do as well) chip,at least 1066 ram,a minimum of sata 2 but sata3 preferred (for ssd), and i need this all for less than $50.

Anyone have any ideas for a motherboard replacement that will meet my needs?

PS can ANYONE explain why on earth, HP lists the Phenom II x4 as an upgrade option for this???
Like seriously???? wth
