Is 'Vamery' a trustable brand?

Solution

I hope you have good luck with that, but 99% of the parts you may buy on eBay are:
1. Counterfeit
2. Defective
3. No-warranty

Generally, low prices on eBay mean you may have gotten screwed, if it even works at all. I've never heard of Vamery, I suspect at best it's an off-brand, and worst it's an outright counterfeit.

It's a definite scam. They don't even have that good cards, and their cards are bullshit. Their graphics cards are not from NVIDIA, so I repeat, do not get it. Some people were idiots and bought this without researching.

Their cards are fake, and EBay shouldn't even be letting them sell this.

Ebay still makes their money. It's the seller who may be breaking the law, but the Chinese have no concept of copyright, so they likely don't care either. There's so much broken and counterfeit on there it isn't even funny.
That's the reason I only buy under $20 on eBay, because 99% of the time you get a refund.

FOr anyone who ever reads this, dont do it. they are the worst, you would be better off with the $70 R7 4gb by Zotac. This gpu has bad support and glitches out with many games after at most 2 hours. Even Minecraft it dies on

I just got finished reporting vamery and Tmart to nvidia for selling misrepresented cards.(I figured a better chance of action then counterfeit) The cards are FAKE and aren't even the GTX650 processor(no directx11,no driver after 340.**, 384bit memory, same specs as some 8000 series geforce cards).

While I agree %100 about the Vamery cards, sites like newegg and bestbuy ALSO have their own ebay store pages. So saying that %99 is fake because of low price may be a bit extreme. LOL, maybe %75 to %80?

99% of off-brands are fake. Those companies use those stores to dispose of "for parts" or super-old merch in a desperate attempt to recoup some money off them. I know, my own company does the same.

However, the VAST majority of low-price hi-specs on ebay is from third party Chinese who either make it to an amazingly low standard of quality, or more often than not, simply lie and write firmware that reports the wrong information when it's in a computer.

Under $20 is a solid rule because it's a threat to operating costs that is ultimately cheaper to resolve amicably. For anything over, good luck, it's all caveat emptor and you will not be happy with the result.

Saying that 99% of Ebay items are counterfeit may be the most outrageously ignorant statement of recent memory. Someone is bitter because they can't compete w/ the much more reasonable prices that Ebay can offer. There is so many safeguards in place to protect the buyer. Now, I do have my own issues w/ them as selling is very lousy due to high fees. And, it was much better back in the 2000's(01-07) when personal checks, money orders & cashiers checks were accepted. Before the EMPIRE(Paypal) took over! But, you have to know what your doing & how to decipher the seller's ad. Don't buy if it's coming from China(given, the origin for most name-brands is China). You do realize that most things you own are made in China? If an item is a knock-off, it's your own damn fault for not paying attention. Ebay has it's own problems but providing a forum with 99% counterfeit items is an outright lie.

I almost forgot the Vamery question. I personally wouldn't buy this brand. But, many people have bought these w/ no problems whatsoever. The difference in brands is only one thing, quality control. Just like in home audio at one time(Motorola & Matsushita provided most parts) the only real differences were those folks double-checking their colleagues handywork. Life is a chance we all must partake. Go with EVGA as they appear to have some excellent QC & knowledgeable staff. Similar to the king's of loudspeakers @ Definitive Technology. Why do I say this? I sent them a BP7006(single) that I bought on Ebay(YES,those fake-ass items!) that was not from a dealer after the amp went out. They put a new amp & subwoofer/radiators and paid for rush shipping back to me through UPS. I didn't have a receipt & they didn't ask for paperwork. They just wanted to fix their product and retain an excellent reputation. EVGA is similar.
