Hi , here are my some question about my pc gaming confusions::

Q1. I wanna to know that are there any benifits of buying digital games or boxed retail games.

Q2. Let's Take An Example--

I have CS GO boxed version and it cost me less than digital version. Now, after redeeming the
code on steam will I have to Download game or I can install via DVD.

Thanks in advance...............

Solution
steam cd games have the option to install from the disk once that is done it will just download the updates for the game
i like steam disc games with games getting bigger i would like to install from disc more than ever plus you the game is redeemed on steam so no issues if it get deleted since the reinstall wont take long as the disc are faster then download a massive game

Solution
well, yeah, sometimes boxed are cheaper (like ea games in my area)
however, with digital even if you lost the dvd it's ok since you can re-download.

also, with same (like the up-coming summer sale of steam this june). you can buy games for $2.5, sure these are old games, but we don't own every old game right?
or you can give them as gifts to friends or families that have not tried the game.

also, some people like to have the physical copy as collection, some people don't want the clutter. so it depends.
for me, most of my games are digital, i do have some physical copies, but not as much as my digital ones

Besides having an advantage in terms of installation (as already suggested), I can relate for what Cons29 said.
Having a physical copy of the game can be considered under a collectible point of view. I have most of my games digital too, but when I really like a game or a franchise, I'm usually going for physical. There's something I can't really describe, in owning that little plastic box and its contents, that beats the fact of just knowing your account is allowed to download a bunch of ones and zeroes.

It's a downside for the country I live into, since games are usually between 60€ and 80€ (digital ones usually cost between 1€ and 10€ less), but it's much, MUCH nicer IMO.

A little example:
I own a retail copy of a (PSVITA) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re:Birth 1, imported from Canada. I bought it before they actually decided to bring the digital copy over the european market via Steam, and god bless Sony for making their console "semi-region-free".
Steam already has Re:Birth 1 and 2 on its servers, but I like the game so much I'm likely going to import the second episode's copy as well, once I find a generous enough sale to cover for the monstrous shipping taxes and the relative customs duties :p

Problem Is that after redeeming the key on steam It gives me option to download not to INSTALL via DVD

((IF you are able then please send me pics or video of installation)))

You just have to pop the disc in your PC's reader and the setup should start automatically.

If, for any reason, you got auto-run disabled, open it manually and look for an executable file called "Setup" (or very rarely, "Install").
The key is simply there to link your account to that game's copy.

Also, if you haven't got any DVD drive, I'm sorry, but you either need to get one (internal or external) or download it via Steam.

I never buy actual disks because to me i don't want any additional clutter. What i suggest is you sign up for Steam, Origin, UPlay, Amazon, GreenMan, Best Buy maybe even GOG.

I know it sounds like a lot but it's a one time thing, just download them and buy the games you like.

Also i see people talking about Steam sales, those use to take place years ago, these days pardon my expression but you only get trash from Steam on sale (not to be rude and call someone's hard work trash, but it is what it is).

Sometimes you can find games on sale, but more likely than not they will be on other than Steam stores, i got Crysis 3 for like $7, DA Origins for $30 both on Origin. Got Duck Tales Remastered for $4 on Green Man Gaming, got Ryse on Greenman as well for cheap. Amazon is also pretty good.

These days you can find great games on sale from almost everyone but Steam, however in the end, if you want a great game when you want it.............pay the full price lol.
