I am currently running an i5 4430 with a GeForce GT 630...people have told me to upgrade to the 970...but I am wondering if there is a cheaper alternative that can still boost my FPS problems on most games like H1Z1...I am not super tech savvy so any opinions would be greatly appreciated. :)

depending on the games you play and if you prefer maximum graphical details. 750 Ti is a very good card efficiency wise, some cards dont even require a 6 pin. if you have a low wattage powersupply then this is the best way to go.

now if you plan on playing AAA titles that are heavy on the graphics side, 970 is the best bang for the buck currently but you need to make sure you have a decent 500w powersupply

Well I do not really have a budget I was planning on getting the 970 but I was somewhat wondering if there was a cheaper one which still gave me some good FPS boosts. For instance I have seen people running games good on high settings using an 750 ti
