First time build, so I apologize for the noob-ness. I have been having problems with my computer restarting every time I try to play a graphics intense game. It seems I can run low intensity level games easily enough, as well as online streaming via netflix. When I run a higher end game, it crashes, gives me a blue screen for a second, and immediately restarts. Sometimes, it doesnt restart, it mentions my graphcis card has "recovered from a failure" and will resume operation.
From what I can tell everything is plugged up properly. Ive snugged all cords/cables. Double checked locations (I can provide pictures if necessary), Ive made sure that the RAM is placed in 1 & 3 locations (color coded), cpu temp never gets above 46 and GPU doesnt get above 40ish either. Mobo chipsets, GPU drivers, windows updates, audio and LAN drivers are all updated and working. I tried upping the cards performace a bit via the basic settings on the GPU Tweak program, but all that did was completely crash the system to where I had to roll it back on safe mode. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a setting I can adjust? Where might the problem originate? Parts I need to send back (bad/incorrect PSU/GPU) or buy differently? I am so lost!
