dota 2 fps and graphic card

PSU: 600watts
RAM: 3gb (2.75gb usable)
Processor: Intel Dual Core E5500 @2.8Ghz
Current Video card: r7 240 2gb ddr3
motherboard: 945gcm-s2l
OS:Window 7 ultimate

so in this benchmark http://www.sapphiretech.com/r7series/moba.aspx?lid=1 dota 2 fps says 55min 61avg 71max so i try their settings but i only get 28-34fps so what do i need to do to make it like this?

I am thinking it is your lack of RAM and rather weak processor. I would recommend more RAM, and if possible a faster CPU, having started out on a e6600 @2.4GHz, it really made a difference when I got a faster core two duo, later I got a quad one which helped more. Dota apparently wants minimum 4 GB of RAM.

Don't add RAM though unless your Windows is 64-bit or you can upgrade it to 64-bit.

Yes, the 32 bit can only use 4gb, the 64 bit will support whatever your motherboard will allow.

If you install 1GB more, it will make a difference because with only 2.75 usable you probably have only 1.5GB free for software to run. Your GPU isn't very fast as well, but should be good for DOTA 2.

Having only 2.75GB usable also bothers me, is your motherboard integrated gpu active and using 256MB of RAM?

so it supports up to 4 GB then get 4GB. that is more of a need than a faster processor.

you will want DDR2 RAM, it would appear that you have a 1 GB and a 2 GB stick right now. so you would want a 2 GB stick, which you would put in instead of the 1 GB stick. this is all based off the fact that you have that above motherboard with only tow RAM slots. get the standard DDR2 667 MHz RAM, and it should work just fine.

In cpu-z it says that my ram is only 333mhz so will 333mhz work in 667mhz?

Does it say Dual mode on CPU-Z as well? If so, then that's 667 RAM, CPU-Z only reports single channel speeds.

"Support for DDR2 667/533/400 MHz memory modules". So, you'd be taking a chance, the motherboard might clock it down and work, or it might not. What you should be looking for is PC2-5300/DDR 667 RAM. This memory is on the QVL memory list for your board-

If you don't know what it is, ignore what i said. just buy a 2GB DDR2 memory stick and replace the 1GB you have now. Follow Robert Cook and Grimwinder's advices.

If the motherboard doesn't support more than 667MHz, you won't get any advantage from faster RAM. Anyway, i never encountered problems from running 800MHz RAM on 667MHz motherboards and even mixing them. Hope your upgrade goes well, good luck!
