Hi, I’m building a gaming PC for the first time. My budget is around €700-850, however, after doing research and putting together a build, it turns out that I overshot my budget by about €100. I live in Ireland, and was wondering if there were any places that charge lower rates that deliver here, closer to the prices seen on American websites. If not, what’s the best way to bring down the cost of my build without losing too much performance?

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card | £159.99 (€218) @ Amazon.co.uk

Case: BitFenix Neos Black ATX Mid Tower Case | €37.99 @ hardwareversand.de

Monitor: AOC i2367Fh Monitor] | £129.00 (€176) @ Amazon.co.uk

I also posted on reddit earlier, and was advised to switch to the Intel i5 4590 CPU, EVGA Supernova 650W PSU, and the MSI H81M-E33 LGA1150 M-ATX Motherboard to save money (I was also told that I could upgrade potentially to the Radeon 290 Graphics Card if I could find a good deal, but I think that would bring my price up by way too much).

I’d just like to verify if it’s a good idea to switch these parts out for the cheaper parts above, and also, as mentioned above, if there’s any way to get these parts for a little bit cheaper so I don’t have to cut performance too much. Thanks in advance!

That seems like a very solid build for your budget! If you do not wish to overclock I suggest that you take that Reddit suggestion.
