Basicly, i took out the mobo from my old rig, which i got from a friend. Apparently it was a pre built. CPU-Z told me its Acer Aspire X5950 Motherboard. Since this is from a friend i dont have the manual with me and i cant find anything online since its a pre built. The problem is I dont know how to properly connect the power sw etc, since i dont have anything to check. Its not written down on the motherboard itself either.
Is there anything i can do or am i screwed? Thanks in advance! If you need pictures please let me know!

The MB is the lga1156, intel has the standard front panel connectors layout. I add it in the linker. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/img/fp_header.jpg
If you want I found the manual ( for both x3950/5950), you can check out the MB layout in page 84-85.
# forget the manual http://www.manualslib.com/manual/445231/Acer-Aspire-X3950.html

By the way I guess you may want to change the case, and you may not change, because I check the old case and the back panel I/O shield can't be remove, that means you can't move the MB into other case, when you change the MB you have to use its back panel I/O shield. If you find the way to cut it out, but it is not the good idea.

If the motherboard is like this (it's a really good high-resolution photo, zoom in to max):
http://images.esellerpro.com/2131/I/755/16/mobo2.jpg

from the header on the image i think it's the same as this:

Code:
2 4 6 8 12 14
1 3 5 7 9 11 13

1-3 IDE LED
2 S1/S3 LED (Suspend?)
3 S0LED
5-7 ICH SYS RSTJ
6-8 POWERBTN
9 POWER STATUS
10 EMPTY
11-13 GND
12-14 5V_SB_SYS (Wake on MODEM/LAN?)

pinout taken from http://archive.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=8&t=15557

Try connecting like this
1-3 HDD LED (mind the polarity)
5-7 Reset button
6-8 Power button
9-11 or 9-13 Power LED (mind the polarity)
