Hey,

so the other day i bought another evga gtx980. I installed it, used the SLI bridge that came with my motherboard (asus z-97a). Now i enabled SLI in the Nvidia control panel. Checked if it was working properly: Gpu-z confirmed sli enabled so did 3DMark. So i started Witcher 3 and saw that there was no fps increase. I thought it may be the game so i started Gta 5 and there was no improvement aswell. I searched the internet: tried turning on SLI rendering mode for global and for the game specifically. Turned off V-sync. I Hope someone here can help me.

I doubt anything can bottleneck those 2 cards:
Asus z-97 a Motherboard
i7-4790k Processor
Evga G2 850watt PSU

My driver version is 353.06 its the newest if you believe geforce expierence. I dont know exactly what you mean by SLI profile. I guess you mean: Manage 3D-Settings ---> Programm settings and then there is witcher 3 (example) and under that option there is SLI Rendering mode with: suggested from Nvidia (SLI)

Sorry wont be exactly how i just said because i am using another language but i think you will get it.

I did that now both drivers are the same but still no change there is a little improvement but i think its because the second 980 is taking over physx its like 5 fps better. Still no solution....

I checked msi afterburner: both graphicscards were at around 80% usage, temperature was 75° on both, also both clock speeds were at 1366 Mhz.
For cpu: Temperature was 64°, usage ~ 70%, clock is at 4000 mhz.

Doesnt this mean that its all working fine? but when i compare benchmarks from lets say gta exactly same settings i only get the fps from a single card.

Do you have vsync on? Because if one card is at or close to your monitor refresh rate (probably 60 Hz) then your second card isn't going to have much effect because your already at your limit. If vsync is off and your still not seeing much of a performance improvement then I'm not sure.

I have the exact same problem with evga 1080 ftw. Please someone help because those cards cost me $920aud each and if they don't even work that's a load of garbage. I've seen people benchmark gta 5 in sli at 4K and get like 90fps average mine is absolute garbage and I don't even have AA on smdh...
