First of all, thank you for everyone who helped me pick the parts for my current build! I really appreciate everyone's inputs.

Now, a year and half later, after finally upgrading from 1080P to 1440P, my GTX 770 is having a hard time with Witcher 3 (30-40 fps on Medium settings). I'm wondering whether I should purchase a GTX 980 now, or wait a bit for new offerings from ATI or price drops on the Nvidia side. Seeing that my 770 only lasted me less than 2 years, does it make sense to buy 980 or go up to 980 TI so I don't feel the pressure to upgrade in another 2 years?

Very interested in everyone's advice and thanks in advance! My current build is as follows:

Thanks for the replies! Honestly I have never bought used components before, and it looks like it's hard to actually get a new 770 at this point. Maybe I should just wait a couple of months, and suffer through the 30 fps in Witcher 3 haha.

Thanks again everyone.

Thanks to everyone's advice so far! I have decided to upgrade from my current 770 (Witcher 3 plays terribly on my card esp after driver updates). I was set on getting an Asus or MSI 970, but after reading some reviews on 390 and 290X, now I'm not as sure. My question is:

1. My PSU is SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (full rig listed above). Would that be ok with a MSI Gaming 390 or 290X?
2. I game on 1440p. Would the 8G in 390 help much or is it better to get 290 for ~40 dollar cheaper?

Thanks!
