Unknown Router Creating Network in my Home

I moved into a new home last year and it had two wireless networks. I recently changed my ISP and got a new modem/router. I thought that both of the network would disappear, and be replaced by the one network from my new router. However, one of the networks is still operating. I cannot find the router anywhere in the house. I know that the network is from my house, its name contains my address. It is unsecured and I would like to take the network down, but I can't do that because I cannot locate the router. How might I locate this router?

Ahnilated: Would that shared public wifi show up as something like "xfinitywifi"? I am seeing at least two such named networks appearing as of late. Both unsecured. Thought they could be some sort of "honey pot".... Every other wireless network (15 +) in the area is secured.

Along the same lines, what if someone just duplicated a local wireless name and left it unsecured? Would tempt people into thinking they had found free access. Especially if the network name contains an identifiable address.

Also wonder if the former ISP just issued Joe's old modem/router to a neighbor or otherwise managed (accidently or otherwise) to leave it plugged in somewhere.

All very interesting. Will be following this thread.

Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Some ISP routers have a default guest SSID enabled. Some even have a default sharing SSID enabled, that you cannot turn off. Supposedly it is for other, authorized, paying users who happen to be in the neighborhood, but I would personally HATE that.
