980 to 780ti SLI should i trade?

My friend is looking to upgrade to a 980 and he's offering both his 780ti's (reference design with back plate) for my 980+a sum of cash. Is this upgrade worth it?

Also how much cash should i add with my 980 for the 780ti's SLI?

I'm from the UK so use £££££ please :p.

You will win fps benchmarks with sli GTX780ti cards.
But, your gameplay may not be so good.
Some games do not like dual gpus, and you may be more exposed to stuttering and tearing.
If your performance now is good, do not trade.
He knows something you don't.
If you want more FPS regardless, then perhaps.

An option...
If the extra cash is sufficient, take the trade; sell the two GTX780ti cards and upgrade yourself to a GTX980ti.
Check ebay for completed listings on those cards to get an idea of what you might fetch for them.
Of course, you might point this option out to your friend.
