I know this game came out quite a bit, but I want to know if my laptop can run it before I buy it in Steam. I have this game on my PS3, and now i want to try mods

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2467M CPU @ 1.60 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.85 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
Pen and Touch: No Pen or Touch is available for this Display

Its an acer laptop by the way
thanks:)

I assume the laptop does not have a graphics card so you will be relying on the Intel HD 3000 graphics core. However, it will not look ass good as playing it on the PS3. I was actually curious how well or poorly the Intel HD 3000 could handle Skyrim on my Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 a couple of years ago. So I disabled the nVidia GT 540m GPU and all mods that affected graphics leaving only the mods that affects gameplay. I also modified the SkyrimPrefs.INI file to set everything to low except the textures which I set to medium because lower than that makes the game look terrible. I also totally disable all shadows in that INI file.

Since Skyrim is still installed on my laptop and I have kept the modified SkyrimPrefs.INI file for the Intel HD...

Well, we don't know your GPU.

While the game should run, it will not run at higher settings. You could try getting the game and if it does not work as you want it to, get a refund from Steam since that started recently.

However, you will not be able to run mods (at least not many mods at once) with your current system.

Since Skyrim is still installed on my laptop and I have kept the modified SkyrimPrefs.INI file for the Intel HD 3000 it is not a big deal to test it out again and disabling mods that updates the graphics and NPC models. My Y470 has a Core i5-2410m CPU and 6GB of RAM and a 1366x768 resolution screen.

Running around in Whiterun between 10am - 11am for a few minutes resulted in a min FPS of 22 and a max FPS of 40 with an average of about 30 FPS from what I can tell. Running outside from Whiterun to the Western Fort resulted in a min FPS of 19 and a max FPS of 37 with an average FPS that seems to be in the high 20's.

Skyrim is playable with the Intel HD 3000 as long as you do not have high expectations. Dropping the resolution down to 1280x720 will help improve performance.
