My PC is having start up problems. Help Please.

Hello, I was trying to put my PC build together but for some reason it wont stay on, it keeps restarting after a couple of seconds. I was hoping someone can let me know what the problem is so I can finishing putting it together. Thanks for the help.

What CPU and RAM are you using in your build? Possible that the UEFI isn't updated to support the CPU you have installed? Try 1 stick of RAM at a time in each slot? Maybe try removing CMOS battery for a few minutes and replace.

Your CPU is the original Haswell, I thought maybe it was Haswell-Refresh, so you UEFI isn't going to be the problem. Also, have you tried just reseating the 2 connectors? Is the PSU new? If so, maybe try the "paperclip" test on it w/ nothing connected to your motherboard to make sure it powers on and stays on itself.

Well I tried it with another PSU but the problem continued and I'm unsure what you mean by 2 connectors.

I'm just referring to the 24-pin main connector and the 4-pin CPU power connector. A second PSU narrrows that down from being the problem. Maybe try removing and reinstalled the CPU as well; bad contact w/ socket pins maybe? Any other sticks of RAM to borrow? Boards can be "picky" sometimes when it comes to RAM as well, though from what I've seen the system should still run, just not POST. If none of this works, you may have a bad board.
