For Gaming is Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3Ghz is better or Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ?

I have Intel core 2 duo e6850 3GHZ 1333FSB, i am planning to upgrade my processor to Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHZ 1033 FSB for gaming, i wanna play games like GTA 4, GTA 5, Far Cry and Many more.
I have Nvidia GTX560.

So i wanna ask is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 is good match for Nvidia GTX 560 or Core 2 Duo E6850?

The quad core will be much faster than your dual core, especially if you overclock that quad core. I would buy a newer core 2 quad since your mobo should support it.

ok then i will go for quad core, but i am using HP ASUS IPIBL-TX motherboard. I have find in many website that overclocking in asus IPIBL-TX is not possible.
Is there is any other way to overclock quad core processor in my motherboard ?
